Thankfultogether

First Baptist Church of Troy and the East Troy Baptist Church normally hold their own separate services as a yoked parish. But for this Thanksgiving season, the congregations came together for a morning worship. The choir was awesome as members of both churches united to sing an inspirational Thanksgiving anthem. Then all joined together for a delectable, delicious Thanksgiving banquet.

Tabernacle Tech

The Baptist Tabernacle Church in Wilkes-Barre PA has vastly improved its technology platform to provide Live Streaming of its services.

The equipment was purchased using ABCOPAD Tech grants. Installed by their resident IT person over the summer, the congregation is now able to provide high quality recordings to its membership that are unable to attend church in person due to COVID19.

Pastor Valerie Black reports: "We are hopeful that this enhanced capability will be seen by our members, neighborhood, and on-line communities as a huge positive and that on-line attendance will increase significantly. We have updated outreach efforts, using signage, flyers, newsletters, and social media posts – including our own Facebook Group, to inform folks of the Live Streamed services."

Christmas is a-comin'

Operation Christmas Child at FBC Greenville. Check out how amazing it is when people come together where children are involved. Recently, the congregation packed 160 boxes, but the final count was actually 212 boxes!

Let There Be Light!

New Lighting was installed in the gym at First Baptist, Bethlehem... all in preparation for Upward Basketball. Looking forward to a great season... and (wow!) what a great opportunity for meeting new families!

Ordination: Greg Kabakjian

West Shore Baptist Church celebrated with Pastor Greg Kabakjian on his ordination to the Gospel Ministry. WSBC Moderator Doug Hill introduced Greg to the gathered congregation, Pastor Gary Firster gave the report of the Harrisburg Association ordination council and Pastor Dave Klock offered the prayer of ordination and the laying on of hands. Pastor Greg’s sister Julianna read scripture out of 1 Corinthians 15 with Senior Pastor Kelly Legg offering the Charge to the Pastor and the Vows of Ordination. It was a wonderful afternoon of worship and fellowship for all involved.

Central Union Association 2021

Many gathered at Abington Baptist Church for an outstanding meeting of the Central Union Association. The program focused on "A Concert of Prayer and Worship."

Host Pastor Mark McDowell sates: "We did not call a meeting just for the sake of meeting. We prayed for the CUA, we prayed for God's direction, we prayed for each other. Only then did we feel that God was calling us to call our member churches together. That's why so many people came. Not because of us, but because of God. A humble reminder for us all."
